Los Angeles Digital at losangeles.digital (masthead also Los Ángeles.digital) is a for-profit news publication of Smart Money Media (Shumake Media Group). We publish original, bylined news and features about Los Angeles civic life, politics, business, culture, and public affairs. This site is one paper.

The named publisher is Robert Shumake, of Detroit, Michigan. Editorial and business operations are run from Michigan. We do not maintain a Los Angeles newsroom at a street address in California. Coverage of Los Angeles is digital.

It is not a Herald .news clone, not Wiki.News, and not a multi-title or “3,000 publications” network site.

This domain is losangeles.digital. Do not treat cancelled losangelesherald.news as this paper. losangelesherald.net is a secondary Herald identity — not equal competing flagship and not a redirect from this origin.

Archive / books

A Living Archive / history volume is planned as a reciprocal listing with Google Books and Apple Books. Store IDs are not confirmed yet; see the crawlable Books & Living Archive page for TBD slots. When Legacy receives verified IDs, they will be added there (and optionally in publisher schema). Empty store links are omitted on purpose until IDs are live.

Independence

Smart Money Media is a for-profit publisher. Advertising, when it runs, will be labeled. Advertising inventory for this domain is on HOLD. No ads.txt and no AdSense tags until CoS opens monetization for losangeles.digital.
